Many years ago my car broke down after a very stressful day of substitute teaching and I was barely able to pull into the parking lot of a Mormon church.

The janitor was outside and came over and found me in tears because I had no money, no credit cards, no options and this was before cell phones. He lifted the hood and found the problem and told me to take his car home and come back again the next day. He said he would push my car to the high school auto shop and that they would put in the missing part for free. I will never forget that! We were complete strangers and I drove his car home and back to work the next day and didn’t have anything to offer him in return. His compassion and generosity amaze me! – Lisa
