In late 2012 my children were kidnapped and slated for the (then unknown) child/sex slavery auction block effectively running in the underbelly of our society. read more →
On Fridays, I treat myself to Dunkin Dounuts and I use the drive-thru. When I pay at the window, I also pay for the person’s order behind me in line and they won’t know it until they pull up to the window and I’ve already left by then. I just want to it anonymously to make someone’s day brighter. I do this because someone once did it for me and it helped restore my faith in the world. read more →
Today I really needed, more than anything else, a reminder that there are still kind and thoughtful people in this world… and wouldn’t you know? THIS happened: read more →
I learned a long time ago, when any family member had to go to hospital for anything, to make a goody bag for the nurses. So having my dad in the hospital last week, I went and got some healthy snacks and some unhealthy snacks for both the night shift and day shift. read more →
At the start of the new season, my son and his mates realized their basketball team had been split up again. Four boys from the old team had been paired with four new boys, and after the first training session, they realized there were two different levels of ability. As the club they play for hadn’t kept their team together for many seasons, the boys felt disheartened at once again not standing much of a chance of making it to grand final. read more →
To whoever you are, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
The last few weeks have been bloody rough, and the cherry on the turd cake was when I broke my right arm last week. I have been left pretty useless as my left arm is a flaming idiot. read more →
I was at the Post Office a few years ago, around Christmas, and there were so many people trying to send their packages and get their stamps. I got my numbered ticket from the machine and waited, looking at the displays. An older couple came in, and they looked so ill and tired. The lady had a walker and the man had thrown a coat over his sweat pants, and it seemed that, even though they didn’t feel well, they were determined to do their mailing for the season. I thought, how courageous you are, how inspiring…. read more →

The nicest gift that can be given throughout a day may often come from strangers.
Last week, I had a horrid migraine that lasted 5 days. It was pretty horrific, but I had to keep moving and do my best with many routines and appointments. read more →
Today was another yucky day. Upon checking the mail, I found a package with my name on it. That was exciting enough, but seeing the beautiful pillow inside touched me extremely deeply! The person who sent it had asked for my address some time back, saying they had something for me, but I assumed it was a card! Well, I was actually correct, because there was a sweet card inside too! It totally brightened my day and is so huggable!! read more →
I was finished putting my groceries in my car yesterday and returned my cart to the cart return area. As I looked around, I saw a lady who was using an electric chair with a basket on the front (most stores have them here for folks who can’t walk well for whatever reason). She was at her car about to unload her groceries, and when I walked over and saw she had terrible edema in both legs – this happens when your lymphatic system does not work properly and fluids don’t drain from your body, and I’ve heard it is both painful and debilitating – anyway I made sure I looked her right in the eyes and asked with a smile on my face, if I could help put her groceries in her car for her. read more →
At a freeway off ramp stood a man with a shopping cart. He was painfully thin. In the child seat of the shopping cart was a cute dog with a flowered hat. He would walk back and forth asking for money and talking to the dog, and she would bark in response. read more →
