One of those feel good moments

I’d spent almost 2 hours washing and ironing on Sunday morning and asked each of my children to come and get their piles of clothing from the kitchen table to put away.

About 30 minutes later, my youngest son yelled out to find out where I was. He came to my bedroom and said, “mum, I just want to tell you something.” He was quite serious, so I prepared myself for one of those lengthy, deep and meaningful conversation we sometimes have.

I waited…

He said, “Mum, I just wanted to let you know that I notice how long it takes for you to do all that washing and I really appreciate that you do it! Thank you.”

Well, you can imagine how pleasantly surprised I was by his observation and him wanting to let me know that he was grateful! I took him in my arms and thanked him for saying that. I told him it meant a lot to me that he had noticed and took the time to tell me.

“That’s okay” he said as he went off with a huge smile on his face.

One of those precious, feel good moments that really made me go awe… – Lis
