A small gesture

When I was in second grade I often dealt with a bully from another class. The next year he apologized and said it was because he was jealous of my ‘boyfriend’ who by then had moved on.

After his apology, we became good friends and I still remember how one day during an assembly I came back from getting an award and he was in my seat. He said he did it to keep my seat warm for me! A small gesture and maybe silly to some, but I appreciated it at the time and still do. 🙂 Kind of cool to think of an act of kindness like that lasting for almost 2 and 1/2 decades! – Susi 🙂
