Homeless chap

When We Give To Others

I was on my way from rural SW France to London via Paris for a family catch up and had a suitcase full of clothes for the refugees in Calais which I was going to deliver in London (just to be transported back… I know, a long way round but it was the best we could do at the time).

It was mid-November 2016 and bitterly cold. I saw this poor homeless chap fast asleep at Gare du Nord with just a lightweight sleeping bag. So I opened the case and picked out a nice, warm sheepskin coat and placed it on him. He didn’t stir and I hope that it wasn’t stolen from him. – Tracy
