Acknowledging her made all the difference

When I shopping one day, the person helping me was clearly in a foul mood. Considering I hate clothes shopping, it was a precarious situation. I took a deep breath, smiled, and told her she seemed tired, was everything ok? She poured out her heart about how she was working two jobs and going to school to try to better her life but it was so hard. After she got it all out, I told her how impressed I was with her enterprising nature. She started smiling and became very helpful and very sweet.

Afterwards, I followed up with a letter to the managers telling them how helpful she was and how friendly. What an amazing young lady she is.

I haven’t seen her again, but I know it made all the difference just to have someone listen and acknowledge her that day and it made my shopping a lot more pleasant. – DawnMarie 😀
