God has been good to me.

Me, John Sutton, and Serenity were on our way home from Royalton when we ran out of gas on a back road.

I went up to a house and told the woman who answered we were out of gas down the road and asked her if she had a gas can or a can with gas in it. She said she didn’t know because her husband handles all that stuff, but told me to come in and sit by the fireplace and get warm while she tried to reach him. 

As she was trying to contact him, he pulled in the driveway. After she explained to him what was going on, he went to his garage and got a can that had a little bit of gas in it. He then took it down to the jeep and put the gas in the tank and came back to his house to pick me up and took me to the jeep.

As I was getting out, he said he would follow us into town to make sure we would make it. I thanked him and away we drove.

We pulled into Furlows in Zeigler because I needed to cash a check. I told the man I was going in to cash a check and asked him if I could give him some money for his help. He said no thank you and asked me if I was going to the gas station across the street. I said I was and he said to me would you please follow me over there and let me put $20 in your gas tank because God has been good to me and I’d like to give something back.

I teared up right there on the spot and told him thank you so much. We went to the gas station and he went in and prepaid the gas then we he came out I again thanked him for being so kind, tears still in my eyes. He said once again that God had been so good to him he wanted to do something in return. I thanked him again and gave him a hug. He said God Bless You and I said God Bless You too.

I have never had anything like this happen to me in my life and now that it has happened, I hope one day I can do the same for another person in need. – Crystal
