Just for being nice…

We Rise By Lifting Others..
On Tuesday it would have been my mom’s 87th birthday. I went to vote here in the U.S., then went to a fast food place to get a breakfast biscuit.

They ran out before breakfast was over and the man in front of me was quite rude to the young girl taking his order, being very demanding etc. and she was almost in tears. When my turn came, I ordered a kids snack size meal to tide me over until later from the lunch menu. I ordered a 4 piece nugget pack, was very pleasant to the girl and told her just to shake it off that HE – the rude man – was the one having a bad life. I joked around and got her to smile.

My food was gathered and I got to my car and opened the bag and it was more than I ordered. I returned inside and she said it was my reward for being nice. I thanked her and said I was grateful but I tried to always be nice. Meanwhile, the grumpy, rude man was sitting nearby and heard it all but kept on grumbling. lol

My next stop was a drugstore and the lady in front of me said it was her 87th birthday!!! So I spoke up and said it would have been my mom’s 87th that day too and that I had traveled 2 hours to stay with my sister so we could celebrate our mom’s birthday. I gave her a hug. It was senior discount day and the cashier gave me the discount, just for being nice! So sometimes you get rewarded for doing the right thing or a good thing. I sure never expected anything from anyone but it was nice. – Kim  😛
