My students feel empowered!

I teach high school in a very impoverished area and my students can rarely do much for others. I collect cosmetic samples and unwanted but unopened lotions, pretty soaps etc from the kids. We tie ribbons on them and make them look pretty. We make a big gift basket full of the stuff. I buy the big pieces then we add all the little ones and I take it to the women at a domestic violence shelter and their children. My students feel empowered working together and are very pleased when the big basket is made. – Crystal
