My new Christmas Eve tradition
At Christmas I was feeling rather down, so I thought I’d pick myself up by being kind to someone else.
I made a few stockings for children and called a couple of our local hospitals to see if they had any children of those ages there. Just so happen one hospital had a 8 year old boy (perfect for this stocking) so I went in and met his family. He was sleeping but asked if I may pray with them and over him? They said YES please! So I did. He began to wake and the doctor came in and told them he could go home!! Praise God moment! (Was Christmas Eve!)
I never got to see his face as he opened all his goodies, but I know he loved them and his family was happy;) I was BLESSED!
Had made another for a 4-5 year old girl, but by the time I got there , her test results had come back she was contagious. But nurses said she was a little diva. It was full if bracelets, necklaces, feather boa. Girly girl stuff, so I’m certain she loved it!
Well on to the only other hospital that had a child in. I had been told it was a 9 month boy, well I bought a few things for him, but got to thinking, you know, the parents are the ones who really need stuff. SO, I got a HUGE Christmas bag and loaded it with crackers, chips, sodas, slim Jim’s, chocolates, you name it. Things they could snack on and didn’t have to leave the room. Come to find out:))) It was a sweet girl I had met at a baby store she worked at and I’d bought things at for my granddaughter and on the way grand baby  and Kimberly (the mommy) remembered me  I stayed and visited, rocked her precious sick little boy Nathan to sleep. BLESSED my day!! THAT’S what being kind to others will do for you.
