No check on our honeymoon

Back in 1983, I was on my honeymoon. My husband and I were at a busy fancy restaurant, waiting to be seated. An older couple was waiting as well, and we all got talking.

It came up in conversation that we were on our honeymoon, and they congratulated us. We all finally got our tables and parted ways.

When it came time to leave, our server said there was no check, and we were stumped. He told us that our meal had been paid for by that sweet couple who had been talking with us! All these years later, I still can’t believe they did that! – Laur
