Such a little thing

It seems such a little thing but it really made my day.

I let a man with only a few items go through the checkout ahead of me. After he’d paid for his few things he took one of the small chocolates from the multipack he’d bought and insisted I have it, whilst telling me how he’d grown up in Germany and his mum used to give them one of these chocolates sometimes.

I was really touched by his sharing of the chocolate and of the happy memory that went with it. – Wendy
