I am sure she was an angel

I remember when my children were young. I was struggling with so many issues. No partner. No family. I had split with their dad and my kids were 2.5 years and 6 months old. He took the car so I had to walk miles to the supermarket.
It was raining and my daughter was not happy that day. Both kids were crying. When I came out of the post office a lovely lady just came up to me. She put her hand on my shoulder and said “wow what beautiful children. You’re doing an amazing job.” I had tears in my eyes. Looking back I’m sure she was an angel. One random act of kindness that uplifted me so much.
I still think about her and that day even now. I’m truly blessed. My kids are now 22 and 24. I did it alone.

By going through such trying time, we learn we lean to accept only the hard core truths, and it teaches us to discern who truly stand by us in trying tines, who offer lip sympathy, who flee.
Such experiences make us string and empathetic.
