It sure made our night!
The other day my family received a very nice blessing!
My husband and I have 5 children, ages 12, 10, 8, 3, and 20 months. We live paycheck to paycheck. We go out to eat once a week and usually on Tuesday, because that is when most places have “kids eat free”!
This past Tuesday we went out. It wasn’t too busy and we were seated near the back. A few tables away was an older gentleman who didn’t seem to be in a very good mood.
Sitting down the big kids got my normal 120% best behavior speech. After we ordered, they went to do the “family night” activities the restaurant had going on. Crafts and such. The baby stayed with us and was getting fussy. I tried to keep her calm best I could, but she is 20 months! When she wants to be fussy, she is FUSSY!
When the food came, the kids started getting loud again. I hate being disruptive in public. The gentleman turned and looked a few times. I got them quiet and my oldest asked if they could pray. I said of course and we bowed our head. Like every day at home, they all chimed in together, even the 3 year and 20 month old.
A few minutes later, I saw the gentleman get up to leave. He turned and looked as though he was going to say something, but turned back and left. Our meal went on well without any more fussiness and the kids finished their crafts. As we were waiting for our bill, our waitress said that the gentleman had taken care of our meal!
It was such a kind gesture and it sure made our night! – Michelle 😛
