The kindness made them giddy!

My husband and I were in a restaurant, having just visited our gravely ill 7-month-old grandson in the hospital. We had a lot on our minds as we were told he would not live. That didn’t stop him though.

An elderly couple was seated across from us, I commented on how sweet they were, holding hands across their booth.

I went to the restroom before leaving. When I came out, the waitresses all came up to me. “Do you know what he did?” “No, what?” “He paid that sweet old couples bill.” They were all giddy. That’s my husband for you. Spreading cheer to others despite our grief. – Anon
