This country girl got pickpocketed

I was 18, left a small country town and travelled to the city, where this little country girl got pickpocketed. I didn’t realise this until I was halfway through a 10 hours bus trip.

Lucky for me I chose to sit next to an older lady who took me under her wing. She gave me some money to call ahead (pre mobiles) and let my friend know what had happened. Then she also brought me dinner. She was an angel that watched over me that night.

Thankfully I got my wallet back as a cleaner found it in a bin, minus a small amount of cash. – Amanda
