You helped out a fellow human

I know this lady probably won’t read this but I needed to put it out there! 

I was at Lilydale shops with my girls and they wanted sushi. I told them we didn’t have a lot of money but I said I’ll try and get us 4 sushi rolls. As I was at the counter ordering the sushi, the girls took it upon themselves to get two juice boxes from the fridge and started drinking them. The young man then says, “so just the sushi and the drunk boxes?” I was shocked and said to the girls I didn’t have that much money, why would you do that! They instantly felt bad and so did I. I asked how much it was all up and he told me $18.40! I had maybe $7.50 in my wallet in change I couldn’t afford it and since they already opened the juice boxes I had to pay for them.

I started to cry and said I’m sorry I can’t afford the sushi now! A lady, probably about my mum’s age came up and passed a $20 note under my nose over the counter!! I felt so bad and loved all at the same time. I said to her no it’s ok and she said she insisted. So I used the money to buy the girls their sushi (I won’t be eating lunch till I get home) I offered her all the change I had plus the change from the purchase and she denied it insisting I put it in my kid’s money box.

I know you didn’t know what my story was or how bad I’ve been feeling the last few days but you decided none of that mattered and you helped out a fellow human, woman, mother in her time of need and for that, I am so very very grateful. – Lexi xxxxxxxx
