I couldn’t believe anyone was so nice.

What'S The Point - John Green.
I am a 21 year old mother and I have an 18 month old son and a 4 year old stepson with one on the way. I work a part-time minimum wage job and my fiance is a contractor who is out of work from time to time, especially during winter and holidays. So we have a tight budget and a few problems with our vehicles that aren’t cheap to fix. Anyways, I was walking to my doctor’s appointment in -15 degree weather because my truck wouldn’t start. There was about four feet of snow and this old lady who was very gentle in the face stopped her car and told me to get in, that she’d take me to where I needed to go.

As we drove she asked about my home life and we talked about the economy. She told me to call her after my appointment and she’d drive me home. I couldn’t thank her enough for the ride to my appointment. When we arrived, the office was closed. She asked me where I lived and I told her. We began on our way again but instead of taking me home, she bought my family $60 in groceries. I bawled my eyes out. I couldn’t believe anyone was so nice and caring. At this time, my pantry and fridge were bare until she bought us those groceries. – Amber ♥
