She’s only 45
.
I drove by a woman holding a cardboard sign saying homeless please pray for me. I went around the block and came back to talk to her. After I went and bought her food and a hot cup of coffee, we talked for the better part of an hour. She is disabled and doctors have told her this week that they cannot do anymore surgery. Her social worker said she will probably have to go into a nursing home but she is only 45 years old! Sherry is both depressed and scared that a nursing home will be more like a prison. I told her that the one in our area is not like that at all so I hope I was able to discourage the feelings of despair and comfort her. I drove her to a place where she could eat her meal in warmth and comfort. When I told her that I would pray for her, she said “I will pray for you too Trish. Thank you so much for your kindness”. – Trish 😀
