Gabriella

There was a man who had cancer. His buddies had a motorcycle run to help him out by raising some money for him. They called it the Brotherhood of Love run.

He started to improve and the next year for July 4th he gathered up a few of us and asked if we thought we could do a fundraiser concert for another young man, a local high school student with leukemia, and help out him and his family the way he had been helped. We all agreed and put on a great fundraiser concert for this man and raised a few thousand dollars to help out.

That same summer my friends’ cancer had come back with a vengeance and he was gone by November. His dying wish was that we try to continue and try to keep the Brotherhood of Love crew together and keep helping our kids in our community. We have done this by finding a young lady, 8 year old Gabriella, who also has Leukemia.

Our crew has worked so hard and has gotten EVERYTHING donated and are able to put together a 6 hour long concert with three local bands, motorcycle run, food vendors, face painting and balloon twisting, bungee trampoline and bouncy house full on carnival for Gabriella. The bonus is that it is on the same day of our town fireworks display and the school we are using for the fundraiser has front row seating for the fireworks. This has become a full blown carnival for this young lady.

This is only the third year of doing this and we hope to be able to continue to do it every year. I just wanted to share what a RIPPLE OF KINDNESS can do. These are all awesome people that I am working with and I just thought I should share this with your community.
