Tonight I was the recipient of kindness.

I went to Emergency with a severe gallstone attack and was placed in a chair (no beds) next to an older lady, who was having problems post-op (for cancer). Whilst there, I passed out from the pain, it was an odd feeling as I was fully aware of what was going on, but unable to move or respond.

The thing I remember most clearly was this lady offering me comforting words and soothing hand on my arm. I don’t remember the nurses or doctors, no idea what they were doing!

She then was very insistent to the staff that I be given a bed. This is from a lady that was likely in a lot of pain and uncomfortable herself. – Kathy  😛
