Christmas Voucher

My friend’s husband became unemployed. They have six children. We were unemployed for 10 months so I know full well the pain and anxiety of it. 

It happened just before Christmas, so I dropped off a gift basket at her door. It contained $100 Coles Supermarket Voucher (we were working again by then); a big box of chocolates; a new Christmas movie; some beers and an inspirational card. They posted on Facebook and cried because they knew someone cared and understood. That, of course, made me cry because I am a complete sook and knew all too well the anxiety they were feeling. – Cathy Domoney
