Anonymous New Year Wishes

For the second year in a row, an anonymous person has left a holiday card with $500 cash on my front porch.

Last year I happened to be in the hospital the entire month of December and I thought maybe they did it because they felt a bit sad for me because of the ordeal I was going through. This year though I am not in the hospital so I don’t know why the anonymous person has struck again. No one in the family knows who dropped it off tonight. It was just suddenly there under the doormat.

I have to be honest, it feels strange and wonderful to be on the other end of a random act of kindness. I am usually the one out there in the world creating them through all the RAOK projects I do. This act of kindness is beyond amazing and I can not believe they did it twice.

I wish I knew who it was because I would love to know why they chose me to show such kindness towards. I may never know. – Jill, The Peyton Heart Project
