Cardinals are my special symbol

Today was another yucky day. Upon checking the mail, I found a package with my name on it. That was exciting enough, but seeing the beautiful pillow inside touched me extremely deeply! The person who sent it had asked for my address some time back, saying they had something for me, but I assumed it was a card! Well, I was actually correct, because there was a sweet card inside too! It totally brightened my day and is so huggable!!

What many don’t know is that Cardinals remind me of my little brother who passed. They bring me such comfort and joy!

We live in a place where we can’t see them in person, so anytime I see them in a picture or on TV, I feel grateful and touched. I actually got to see one yesterday as well. A friend recently learned of my love for them, and showed me a catalog from Country General Store, which had so many Cardinal themed items! Even though I was stressed about something earlier, I couldn’t help but smile big!)

I try to help my friends with their special symbols, so this is really neat to have happen to me! The drawings next to the pillow were both done in memory of my brother (Joey). The one on brown paper was done by my sister and hangs right next to my bed, and the one on yellow, I did, and it hangs on the ceiling. – Susi
