Giving with an open heart

When my daughter was little, we stopped at a house that had just caught on fire. When we got there the family was just coming out the house. I called 911 and sat with the family. My daughter realizing what was happening, went to the car and got her coat. I thought she was getting it for herself, but she went up to the child that was about her age and said here, put this on.

You have no idea how shocked I was. It wasn’t the fact that I had just bought her a new coat, (and we don’t have extra money) it was the pure love she has for others.

She’s now almost 15, and has the biggest heart. Makes a mother feel good that you have taught your children to give with an open heart. – Stephanie ♥
