  • All the Good Things

He was in the first third grade class I taught at Saint Mary’s School in Morris, Minnesota. All 34 of my students were dear to me, but Mark Eklund was one in a million. Very neat in appearance, but had that happy-to-be-alive attitude that made even his occasional mischievousness delightful. Mark talked incessantly. I had…

  • Thanks for the cookies…

My wife made me some cookies (very good ones btw). A student came to my office and asked if he could have one. He came back the next day for another one. The following day he dropped off this chocolate cake and this card. ‘Thanks for the cookies. Here’s something back. Make someone else’s day better’….

  • Don’t give up!

Don’t give up, cuz tomorrow could be the best day of your life. This ‘graffiti’ was reported to me in the girls bathroom at the end of last year. Some graffiti is better than others. – Andrew, Principal George Waters Middle School.  😛

  • Anonymous kindness from a student

I found this anonymous note on a student’s locker recently. I still don’t know who wrote it. It says ‘Hi! I hope you’re having a good day! And if you’re not, I’m sorry. Either way, here’s a kitten – From someone who thinks you are awesome!’ – Andrew, Principal at George Waters Middle School  😛

  • Kind for the right reasons

___TVE_SHORTCODE_RAW__ .One of the teaching staff from school, informed me that my eight year old son approached a fellow student, who was looking very sad sitting by himself. Apparently, he then struck-up a conversation with that boy, after which my son grabbed his lunch and came back to have lunch with his new friend.

  • I love you mom.

. I am 27 years old and from a part of the world which is completely misunderstood by many. I remember when I was a kid studying in 5 standard, my dad had an accident and became handicapped. My mum had to take responsibility of our family. She used to make 100 paper bags and…

  • I miss you my baby.

As a divorced Dad, I was collecting my 7 year old daughter from school for our weekly afternoon together. These afternoons I’d pick her up from school, go to horse riding lessons and then onto our local favourite place for waffles and ice cream before taking her back to her mother. This day, she approached…
