I learned a long time ago, when any family member had to go to hospital for anything, to make a goody bag for the nurses. So having my dad in the hospital last week, I went and got some healthy snacks and some unhealthy snacks for both the night shift and day shift.
At the start of the new season, my son and his mates realized their basketball team had been split up again. Four boys from the old team had been paired with four new boys, and after the first training session, they realized there were two different levels of ability. As the club they play for hadn’t kept…
To whoever you are, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. The last few weeks have been bloody rough, and the cherry on the turd cake was when I broke my right arm last week. I have been left pretty useless as my left arm is a flaming idiot.

At a freeway off ramp stood a man with a shopping cart. He was painfully thin. In the child seat of the shopping cart was a cute dog with a flowered hat. He would walk back and forth asking for money and talking to the dog, and she would bark in response.
We received two lovely messages why two of the Random Acts of Kindness we’d given had meant so much.
I recently lost my beloved 17 1/2-year-old dog, Gus. The first time I went for a walk to our usual place since he died, I stopped at one of the trees where I’d put one of Gus’ memorial posters to shed a quiet tear.
